The SPDC-C is a hex socket head cap screw moulded from VESPEL (grade SCP-5000), a high-performance polyimide. It withstands roughly 350 °C, outgasses very little, and adds plasma resistance, radiation hardness, abrasion resistance and high strength for a plastic. Cleanroom-washed and packed, it is a heat-resistant, low-outgassing screw for vacuum and plasma tooling.
