Who is NBK Europe?

NBK Europe is a brand of PM b.v., authorised European sales partner. We supply the precision shaft couplings and special screws of Japanese manufacturer NBK1560 (Nabeya Bi-tech Kaisha), with quotations, technical support and customisation from Dedemsvaart, the Netherlands.

Two houses, one drivetrain

A Japanese maker with four and a half centuries behind it, and a Dutch family firm that builds the machines its couplings go into. This is where they met.

NBK Europe is a brand of PM B.V., a Dutch family-owned company in precision engineering and the authorised European sales partner for NBK1560. Founded in 1966 and based in Dedemsvaart, the Netherlands, PM employs around 200 people and serves the semiconductor, medical and life-science markets worldwide. PM designs and manufactures precision linear guides, linear slides and custom positioning stages used by OEMs that demand accuracy, reliability and stability in vacuum and cleanroom environments.

Japan

The products are manufactured in Japan by Nabeya Bi-tech Kaisha (NBK1560), whose history goes back more than 450 years, from traditional metalworking to modern precision components. With around 600 employees across four production facilities in Japan, NBK1560 is recognised worldwide for its shaft couplings, precision fasteners and customised parts.

A stand at an exhibition

NBK visited the PM stand, where PM was showing its custom positioning stages. Miniature shaft couplings are essential components in ball-screw driven positioning systems, so the technical connection was immediate.
