What are vacuum vented screws and why do you need them?
Vacuum vented screws have a hole drilled along their centre so trapped air, gas or residual fluid can escape during pump-down. This eliminates the virtual leaks that ordinary blind-tapped screws create, giving faster, more stable pump-down and lower contamination. NBK supplies them in stainless steel, titanium and aluminium, ultrasonically cleaned and cleanroom-packed.
Why vented screws
Vacuum vented screws are designed for use in vacuum environments where trapped air can create virtual leaks and compromise system performance. A hole is drilled along their centre to allow air, gases or residual fluids to escape during pump-down, reducing the risk of pressure instability and contamination.
Materials and industries
They are typically manufactured from stainless steel, titanium or aluminium, depending on the mechanical and environmental requirements of the application. NBK vacuum screws are widely used in semiconductor manufacturing, life science, aerospace and solar energy systems, where reliable processes are essential.
Cleaning & compliance
All vented screws are supplied with ultrasonic cleaning and cleanroom packaging. All screws are RoHS2 compliant.
